If you wish to make changes to a part of your travel party only, often a so-called 'split booking' is needed, meaning one or more passenger(s) are splitted off from the original booking, upon your request. You then have an 'extra' booking.
By splitting off passenger(s), both the airline and ourselves are able to make changes for specific passengers only. The other passengers in the original booking remain untouched. This is often needed for individual date changes, name changes, etc.
A split booking always has its own booking code or reference, which can be used on the airline website Manage booking-page (eg. for online check-in). It will not reflect in our systems or processes.
Extra attention required
As the split booking is no longer connected to your original booking, we advise to pay extra attention to this split booking when:
- (Online) check-in: you will need to check-in twice, both with the original booking reference and the split booking reference
- Flight irregularities: if the airline makes any changes to your original booking and you are informed about it (eg. due flight irregularities), this is not automatically done for the split booking. Your action is always required!
- Seat/bagage reservations: often, for split bookings, the additional services bought are not transfered. You often need to repurchase the services.
In such cases, please make sure to always contact us or the airline, for additional assistance on the split booking.
Split bookings are at all times your own responsibility.
